Rape In Women’s Prisons a Result of Senator Scott Wiener’s SB 132

I am reaching out to share an urgent and deeply troubling issue affecting the safety and dignity of women in our state's prisons. The "Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act" (SB 132), authored by state Sen. Scott and passed into law in 2020, has resulted in a dangerous and heartbreaking reality for incarcerated women in California.

The tragic case of Natalie, who was attacked and raped by Tremaine Carroll in a women's prison, is just one example of the devastating impact of SB 132.

YouTube user Carol uploaded an informative video on the topic that can be viewed here:

According to the pressure groups Woman ll Woman and Women’s Liberation Front, the 1,900 female inmates at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla have been joined by 250 biological male inmates, while an additional 500 men are waiting to get in.  At the California Institute for Women in Chino, 1,000 female inmates are now mixed in with about 100 men, a violation of international human rights laws and United Nations rules. None of these women inmates were consulted or consented to be housed with violent male felons, nor were the communities around these prisons.

Women like Janine Chandler, Krystal Gonzales, Tomiekia Johnson, and Nadia Romero, represented by the Women's Liberation Front (WoLF), bravely challenge SB 132 in court. WoLF, a nonpartisan group dedicated to protecting women's rights, is led by Executive Director Sharon Bryne, who has been a vocal advocate for the safety and dignity of women in our prisons.

As a result of this misguided law, sex assaults are on the rise in women’s prisons, something the media and Wiener are trying to ignore. Wiener’s cruel bill is causing untold suffering in women’s prisons in our state.

Please consider donating or volunteering to my campaign to help us undo these wrongs and vote Wiener out of office. This must end before more women are raped in the name of trans rights.

Together, we can demand accountability from lawmakers and ensure that no woman has to endure the horrors that Natalie and others have faced.

Please share this information, because the mainstream media and Scott Wiener will not!
