Stand with us to protect California's coast from harmful legislation.

It’s alarming to see that SB 951, introduced by Scott Wiener, threatens to undermine the critical protections of the California Coastal Act.

SB 951 would redraw San Francisco’s coastal zone boundaries, stripping the Coastal Commission of its ability to safeguard our beaches and neighborhoods.

This bill is a thinly veiled attempt to sidestep environmental protections, under the guise of streamlining affordability efforts—despite the fact that the Coastal Commission has approved 95.5% of coastal development permit applications.

Instead of cutting corners, we need policies that genuinely address housing affordability while preserving our precious coastal resources. I support the efforts of Surfrider San Francisco, which opposes SB 951 unless amended to remove the harmful boundary changes.

Please consider making a generous donation to our campaign today. Every dollar helps us reach more voters and advocate for common-sense leadership that protects both our communities and our environment.

We cannot afford to let Scott Wiener’s harmful agenda move forward.

Sincerely,
